Activision’s cash cow, Call of Duty, is ready to be milked once again. With that, you can be rest assured that there will be plenty of action going on across three platforms: the PC, Xbox One and PS4 this November 3 as Call of Duty: World War II launches. As the title of the game suggests, it will be based on events that happened less than a century ago, which would mean plenty of documentation and witnesses around that would prove to be a rich and fertile field of material to play around with.

When it launches this November 3rd, there will be various editions for gamers to choose from. Those who would like the most spartan version can always settle for the standard $59.99 edition. If you have some extra dough to spare, there would be the Digital Deluxe and Pro editions that will retail for $99.99 apiece, as these will comprise of bonus content that boast of multiplayer maps that will be released over the course of the next few months after the game is released.

Call of Duty: World War II will be set in Europe, where most of the action occurs. It will see you play the role of a soldier in a squad whose stomping grounds are in Europe, set in the time period of 1944 all the way to 1945. There will also be moments where the events date back all the way to 1940, so it would prove to be an interesting title to indulge in. Some of the countries where you will find yourself knuckling down against the enemy would be Belgium, France and Germany, with exploring missions including the famous storming of Omaha Beach in Normandy.

The lead character will be known as Ronald "Red" Daniels, who happens to be named after the father of Glen Schofield. Mr. Schofield is the co-founder of the game's developer, Sledgehammer Games, and he passed away when the game was being produced. Daniels is an Army private, recruited and being placed in the U.S. 1st Infantry Division.

What is the whole point of a Call of Duty game if there is no multiplayer aspect to it? This is what many would want to know, and the multiplayer feature will certainly keep Call of Duty sales roaring each time a new title debuts. We suspect that the same will apply to Call of Duty: World War II. Expect its multiplayer feature to debut later this June at the Electronic Entertainment Expo that is set to happen in Los Angeles. Activision will also throw in a new game mode known as War, which has been described as a narrative-driven type of experience. This will see teams of players learning to work together in order to complete strategic objectives. Apart from that, there will also be divisions that will change the way players create and customize their online characters.

What about Zombies? Everyone loves zombies, and the new Zombies mode will see a cooperative experience as players work together in order to ensure their survival as they go up against wave after wave of zombies who are more than ready to chow down on living beings.
